I just wanted to let everyone know that I have decided to take a break from organising craft fayres so unfortunately there will not be a Creations fayre this year. I would like to try and keep this page and the facebook page open though. If you have details about other craft fayres I can add them to the 'Other Local Events' page.
Creations was started in 2010 to provide a friendly venue for artists, crafters and designers from the Colchester area to display their work and sell to the public. Sellers are welcomed whether they are new, and looking to sell their work for the first time, or are more experienced. The aim of Creations is to showcase and promote high quality handmade products from talented designers and makers.

At the Christmas Fayre...
Julie Pettitt Ceramics
I work from my peaceful studio set in the old village of West Bergholt in the East of England. My studio space is divided between the top floor where I begin my making process of slip-casing my cupcakes, vases, bags, etc.
I work with a fine French limoges powder porcelain which I turn into slip (liquid porcelain). I have personally developed & named my own unique porcelain colour range, so yellow is called Joy, blue is called Patient, green is called Naive, pale pink is called Shy & dark pink is called Blush. These colours have become my trade mark and from any new product collection which I have developed these colours are always used thus from each new range of ceramics that I have created over the many years my five personally developed colours stay constant and run through each collection of work to bring about harmony.
On the ground floor of my studio are my two electric kilns. This is also where I do all of my glazing & packaging up of my final pieces ready to be sent to various galleries across the UK.
My ceramics can also be purchased from my website: www.juliepettitt.com
And also from: www.notonthehighstreet.com/jpceramics

At the Christmas Fayre...
Glassify
I first started making fused glass at a class in Colchester. I started off quite slowly with a few coasters and then moved on to bowls, Christmas decorations and jewellery. My husband then bought me a kiln for Christmas. He now has a pair of cufflinks for each day of the year, I am thinking of having some extra holes pierced in my ears so that I can wear six pairs of earrings at once, we have enough coasters to supply an army and there is no room left on my Christmas tree for any more decorations...
All of my pieces are handmade to my own designs. You can see more of my designs on my website - www.glassify.co.uk

At the Christmas Fayre...
hfcSupplies
My unique craft and party supplies are designed to inspire! I make a range of items from scrapbooking papers and collage sheets to party invitations, cupcake toppers, gift boxes and bunting. With a variety of themes from Christmas to cupcakes and buttons to tropical fish, there is something for everyone whether they are making a special birthday card, scrapbook page or planning a themed birthday party!
My designs are sold as printables - I send digital files by email for you to print as many times as you like to use in your own projects, but I will also be selling ready printed sheets at the fayre.
I will be selling other handmade craft supplies too; including polymer clay buttons, crocheted flowers and cardmaking kits.
