At the Christmas Fayre...

Julie Pettitt Ceramics

I work from my peaceful studio set in the old village of West Bergholt in the East of England. My studio space is divided between the top floor where I begin my making process of slip-casing my cupcakes, vases, bags, etc.

I work with a fine French limoges powder porcelain which I turn into slip (liquid porcelain). I have personally developed & named my own unique porcelain colour range, so yellow is called Joy, blue is called Patient, green is called Naive, pale pink is called Shy & dark pink is called Blush. These colours have become my trade mark and from any new product collection which I have developed these colours are always used thus from each new range of ceramics that I have created over the many years my five personally developed colours stay constant and run through each collection of work to bring about harmony.
On the ground floor of my studio are my two electric kilns. This is also where I do all of my glazing & packaging up of my final pieces ready to be sent to various galleries across the UK.
My ceramics can also be purchased from my website: www.juliepettitt.com
Visits to my studio may be made by appointment.

At the Christmas Fayre...

Glassify

I first started making fused glass at a class in Colchester.  I started off quite slowly with a few coasters and then moved on to bowls, Christmas decorations and jewellery.  My husband then bought me a kiln for Christmas.  He now has a pair of cufflinks for each day of the year, I am thinking of having some extra holes pierced in my ears so that I can wear six pairs of earrings at once, we have enough coasters to supply an army and there is no room left on my Christmas tree for any more decorations...
All of my pieces are handmade to my own designs.  You can see more of my designs on my website - www.glassify.co.uk

At the Christmas Fayre...

Hazel Fisher Creations

I will be selling original artwork and prints of my illustrations which range from pet and animal portraits to quirky illustrations of Hexley; my steampunk inspired fictional town.

Hexley is a centre for learning and discovery set in the late Victorian era from a past that never was.  The most popular illustrations from my Hexley series are my Clockwork Birds - I now have 10 different birds from the Robin and Blackbird to a Barn Owl and Kingfisher.  My Hexley illustrations also include unusual modes of transport like steam powered carriages, dirigibles and a fish shaped submarine.
Alongside the prints I will also be selling greeting cards, bookmarks, magnets and other items featuring my artwork.

At the Christmas Fayre...

Knitted by Nanna

My mother taught me to knit over 75 years ago and I have passed the skill onto my children.  I enjoy knitting and it keeps me busy making things for friends and charity.
This year I have knitted hats, scarves and puppets for the the Samaritan's Purse shoebox appeal.   At the fayre I will be selling mainly puppets and some other knitted items, with all money being donated to charity.

At the Christmas Fayre...

C.P. Creations

I recently started making a range of jewellery about 4 months ago, what inspired me to begin creating my own was the fact that shops charged so much when the materials to make them was nowhere near the price they made you pay. I originally planned to just make for myself, family and friends but then when I started I found a passion for it, and C.P Creations was born.
I began with just simple shamballa style bracelets then went on to teach myself new ideas, I now make anything ranging from earrings to bracelets, phone charms to bag charms, necklaces to anklets and I’ve even made a couple of stylish dog collars. I am self-taught and forever experimenting with new ideas.

Vintiquity

I adore vintage china and think it is such a shame that so many beautiful pieces are left to sit gathering dust at the back of cupboards or are packed away, forgotten in lofts.
I love to rescue old china and bring it back to life by making teacup candles.  All of my candles are hand poured using a variety of colours and fragrances which compliment the pretty antique, vintage and shabby chic china that I use.
